Bar Cookies
(Ohhhh! These are the best!)

Snickers mini candy bars, or 10 regular, cut into
1” or ½”

cup margarine or butter, softened
- 1
cup creamy peanut butter
- 1
cup sugar
- 1
cut brown sugar
- 2
tsp vanilla
- 2
eggs
- 3
cups flour
- 1
tsp baking powder
- 1
tsp baking soda

- Beat
together butter, peanut butter and sugars until
fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine
flour, baking powder and soda. Add to peanut
butter mixture; mix well. For each cookie,
shape a rounded tablespoon of dough around a candy
piece, forming a ball. Place on un-greased
cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes, or
until lightly browned. Cool on pan for 1 minute
before removing from rack.

good!

like this recipe because it gives me the freedom
to make a quick treat while at the same time; chat
on the phone, emptying the dishwasher and combat
sibling rivalry. :) Enjoy!

cup peanut butter

cup butter
- 1
½ to 2 cup rolled oats
- 1
tsp vanilla

- Mix
sugar, cocoa and milk in saucepan and boil 1
minute. Stirring constantly. Remove
from heat and stir in peanut butter, butter, oats,
and vanilla. Drop by spoon full on waxed
paper and let cool.
