Porcupine Mountains, Michigan

Come Play in the Porkies! Snowmobile, downhill ski, cross-country ski, snow board, snowshoe or just relax.  You'll experience the highest vertical drop in Michigan or Wisconsin and you'll see spectacular, panoramic views of Lake Superior. The Porkies are home to one of the first alpine ski areas in the Midwest as well as some of the most scenic Nordic ski trails in the entire Great Lakes region.

Sporting a vertical drop of 641 feet, the Porcupine Mountains Ski Area has 15 runs that are served by a triple chair, double chair, T-bar, and handle tow. The chalet offers ski and snowboard rentals, pro shop, rest rooms, fireplaces, public phone, National Ski Patrol, and cafeteria. Children twelve and under always ski free!
